Half-Term Update

This is just to let you know of junior events going on over half-term (for those that are not going away) and to pass on some other news that you/your child  might be interested in.

As you will see below, there will be junior training on Tuesday 18th Feb for those that can make it.

So coming up next week…….

Sun 16th Feb is the next KWL fixture at Barbondale  – a VERY steep one this – be warned !  Your child needs to be comfortable with steep climbs and steep descents !

Tue 18th Feb – Junior training at Eshtons as usual. Registration from 6.30pm (session starts at 6.40pm, finishes at 6.45pm)

Sun 23rd Feb is the Sedbergh School KWL fixture which is a counter for our Junior Club Championships (race 4) – an excellent one for all our juniors (over 8).  The race is held over the school’s tough and varied cross-country course.

Social Run.

At junior training sessions on Tuesday evenings, we offer a social run for juniors of secondary-school age.  This is in addition (or an alternative) to the more intensive session for Years 7 to 13 aimed at the those wishing to prepare for competition.  The social run distance is usually around 5k and is led by Rachel, assisted by others from our coaching team. Rachel has now published a schedule of the social run routes along with a map showing each of the 4 current routes.  These can be viewed on our website here, social-run-routes.
