SESSIONS

Social runs and structured training

We have a variety of opportunities to train and run with other club members as outlined below. The current schedules are available via the menu or the links below. They are also listed on the overall club calendar.

Additional details and last minute changes are communicated via the club Facebook page and/or email. Facebook is also used to sign up for each run. Although signing up in advance isn’t essential, it’s helpful for the run leader to know how many are attending.

 

MONDAY SOCIAL RUNS

Start at 7:00pm unless otherwise stated.
These are mainly social runs which cater for all abilities.
Summer runs are all either Trail or Fell routes.
Winter runs tend to be a mix of Road and Off-Road routes.
Usually about 1 – 1/2 hour session.
We usually go to the pub afterwards.

WEDNESDAY SOCIAL RUNS

Start at 7:00pm unless otherwise stated.
These are mainly social runs which cater for all abilities.
Summer runs are all either Trail or Fell routes.
Winter runs tend to be a mix of Road and Off-Road routes.

THURSDAY TRAINING

On most Thursdays we run coached running sessions at 6:15pm at the Giggleswick Playing Fields.
All speeds/abilities/ages are welcome.
Look out for announcements about each session on the Facebook page.

JUNIOR COACHING

Junior coaching sessions take place every Tuesday during term time.
Please see the Junior training page for details.

A few rules:

1. Routes may change on night subject to weather conditions.
2. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear.
3. Off-road should be FRA kit requirements and the group should stay together/regroup
4. Lift sharing to be arranged locally as required
5. Please keep dogs under close control especially on route with lots of cattle grids/livestock
